The Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons
Our brood recently had a wonderful stay at The Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons in Beverly Hills, California.
Beware shoppers, this family-friendly luxury hotel perfectly positioned at the entrance to Rodeo Drive Alley. (Also if the facade looks familiar, you're remembering the "Pretty Woman" hotel.)
When we arrived at the beautiful historic hotel after a long 5-hour flight from the East coast, the girls were immediately welcomed and offered a “Larry” puppy dog inspired by a very cute book "Larry Gets Lost in Los Angeles."
Children that check in to the Beverly Wilshire are offered a Larry plush toy of their very own. Upon entering their guest room, a personalized chocolate amenity will be waiting for kids, along with more information on Larry, but more about the fabulous chocolate in a moment.
We had two gorgeous connecting Deluxe Beverly suites in the new building both with terraces overlooking the pool.
In the girls’ suite, they had set up a tent for our 5 year old, Penelope, and she was so thrilled that is where she decided to sleep!
Although one Beverly suite is plenty of space for a family of four with two bathrooms and a separate living area with a pullout couch.
Four Seasons Hotels are known for amazing welcome amenities but what was waiting for us at The Beverly Wilshire had us all oohing and ahhhhing.
The girls received wonderful Larry theme treats but the scene-stealer was the chocolate Rodeo Drive signs and the Chanel cupcakes in Mama’s room. It was the most perfect welcome to our home in the 90210.
The first stop for the girls was at The Nail Bar to have a special kids' treatment. They opted for the “Pop Star” package and their fingers and toes were glammed up with eye-popping nail polish. There were more treats and the girls each took home a lip-gloss microphone to remember their Hollywood mani/pedis. And more treats...
The hotel has many cute kid spa packages such as: The Princess, The Rock Star, The Pop Star and The Superhero to name a few.
After our spa experience, we enjoyed smoothies by the pool and the girls were definitely embracing the glamorous Beverly Hills lifestyle. They enjoyed the swimming pool and hot tub while mom and dad read and rested in our chaise lounges and sipping adult beverages from The Pool Bar and Cafe.
That evening we enjoyed dinner at The BLVD, the Beverly Wilshire’s casual restaurant. The restaurant is very family-friendly with kids’ menus, coloring pages and crayons.
We were on East Coast time and when Penelope fell asleep at the table, the staff didn’t bat an eye, and brought over a big pillow so she could curl up and sleep more comfortably. Mom and Dad were grateful to be able to zip adult beverages and finish our delicious meals.
Everyone we encountered at BW was very friendly and helpful and especially kind to the children and made our stay even more enjoyable. Before your stay at BW Four Seasons, let the hotel know the names and ages of the children so that they can be prepared with:
- A welcome amenity for our younger guests and teens
- Child-size bathrobes
- Children's menus in our restaurants and through In-Room Dining
- Items to childproof guest rooms
- Complimentary infant furnishings, such as high chairs
- Complimentary use of our DVD library
- Cribs and/or rollaway beds, at no extra charge and subject to maximum occupancy
Also, the concierge can arrange accredited babysittters for an adult night out.
The remainder of our stay was a happy blur of pool time, exploring Beverly Hills (ask the concierge for a list of parks and nearby kid-friendly activities) and enjoying our suite accommodations. The hotel also has a two level gym overlooking the pool deck with treadmills, weights, strength training and cardiovascual equipment.
We loved everything about the Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons and cannot wait to return!
Room rates start at $499 a night. If you book with a Four Seasons Preferred Partner (ahem! Poshbrood?) you will get best room rates, daily breakfast for two, a room upgrade and $100 hotel credit.
