Poshbrood recently stayed in a mini suite with a separate living area with a comfy pullout couch. There was more than enough room for kids to go to sleep early undisturbed while we watched a movie and shared a glass of wine. We loved the Meatpacking neighborhood and had a wonderful time with the kids exploring the High Line, a new, elevated park a block away from the hotel. Check out the refreshingly authentic American diner under the Highline -- The Star on 18 Diner, Nothing fancy or slick about it but breakfast was good, hot and cheap and the waitresses friendly. The Star on 18 is at 128 10th Avenue.
Also, poshbrood recommends the Gansevoort in the summer so kids and parents can enjoy the gorgeous rooftop pool. Later when the babysitter arrives, mom and dad can partake in cocktails at Plunge Rooftop Bar and Lounge.
